Loving Husband, Dad, Son, Brother, Tata and Tio

Ernie passed away at home with his wife, his kids and close family friends by his side on the morning of May 6th after
battling congenital heart failure and advanced dementia.
He moved to California at age 15 from Arizona and made a life for himself in San Diego. He was a baker for 40 years,
as well as a cement mason and regular swap meet seller. He was a tireless worker to provide for his wife and children
and prided himself on being a homeowner in the home he built himself. He enjoyed playing the harmonica, drawing, and singing
Ranchera and Christian hymns. He was also an avid fan of boxing in his early years
.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ola "Sandy" Martinez, son Anthony (wife Kim, granddaughter Cassidy, grandsons Tony, Micah & Corbin),
daughter Elaine, son Vinnie, son Jason (wife Angie, granddaughter Lily and grandson Sam), as well as three siblings (Lillie, Henry, and Gene) and
many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by son, Ernest Marc, brothers Eddie & Eden and mother Maria.
He lived and loved and passed on to all a passion for life and a strong work ethic.
